This weekend, is the season’s final home game for our Eagles. Last
weekend, BC gave a valiant effort vs the fourth ranked Irish. Of
course, there were many situations where us fans could have questioned
Coach Spaz. Not going for it on 4th down, too many running plays vs a
stout Rush defense, poor recruiting, etc.
In the end it was yet another loss, leading to the worst BC season in
over 30 years!! BC now is 2-8. The best part of the game itself was my
entire row winning free hot dogs! Nothing to really do with the game,
but it occurred during so that counts, right ?? Small victories but
very tasty!!
The VaTech Hokies come to the Heights with a losing record. They need
to win their last 2 games to become bowl eligible. So BC can play
spoilers this weekend!
Just think 4 years ago, both these teams met in the ACC championship
game. Now we both are struggling. Although, I think the Hokies will
recover much faster than BC.
Anyway, enough game talk. Lets discuss what really matters, The
Tailgate!! For those of you who were able to make it onto Shea, wow
what a scene! Lots of great food, drinks and of course drinking
games! Awesome time! This is the atmosphere that should be @ BC every
Saturday. (Unfortunately, BC needs to start winning and that could be
awhile. Changes will happen! Be patient.).
So this weekend, will be our final game on Shea. I hope you all have
enjoyed the new spot. I definitely have! The biggest thing with
tailgating on Shea is that, you have to get to BC early. Last weekend
was the perfect example.
For this weekend, tailgating starts at 930AM.
Pedestrian access will begin at 10AM. Kickoff is at 1230PM. There will
be 2 hours of post game tailgating as well. I will be bringing all
the beverages as well as hamburgers and hot dogs. The donut cake will
be returning as well. If there is something that you’d like to grill,
feel free to bring it. I hope to see you all early Saturday AM.
Go Eagles! And Fire Spaz!
PREDICTION: Chase Rettig goes deep to Alex Amidon late in the 4th and
BC wins 17-14. Spaz is carried off the field by Superfans, celebrating
his final home game!
